  Experience and Expertise

Computer Forensic Services, Inc. has been involved in over 400 electronic discovery and forensic analysis cases in the past four years that include sexual harassment, pornography, theft of trade secrets, white-collar crime, class action lawsuits, family law, as well as business and commercial litigation. We have examined evidence in many high-profile cases. Including class action lawsuits. Each of our forensic analysts possesses professional experience in both law enforcement and information technology, with a particular emphasis on investigation. In 2003 the Director of Forensic Services, Mark Lanterman, was officially recognized by the United States Secret Service for outstanding contributions to law enforcement.

  Value Proposition

Computer Forensic Services, Inc. prides itself on quickly discovering the critical electronic evidence needed to determine the truth or win the case. We do much more than just recover data, we interpret the results, provide case consultation and help our clients understand the meaning of the information we provide. The value of Computer Forensic Services, Inc. is significant. We save you time and cost and provide a higher quality conclusion.

  Deliverable Format

Our business is not oriented toward data recovery but true electronic discovery and forensic investigation. We don't repackage our standard data recovery deliverable and call it forensic analysis (i.e., drop off 100s of CDs of recovered data and require you to sift through them to find what is useful). We provide expert opinion, the key evidence impacting the case and information in a form that can be used easily.

  Consulting and Support

Our expert consultants lead the electronic discovery and investigative process and provide sound advice to the legal team involved in the case. We take the time to learn the details of the case which helps narrow the search and speed the investigation. Any investigation can twist and turn based on available and discovered evidence. The judgment of experienced investigators is needed to ensure timely and successful completion. Computer Forensic Services, Inc. also provides litigation support through the deposition and expert witness stage of a case. Credible and knowledgeable experts make the difference in court.

  Security

Computer Forensic Services, Inc. has a standard chain of custody procedure to protect physical assets when in our possession, similar to police department procedures in dealing with evidence. Our facilities have redundant physical access controls, with a limited number of known users and physical logs that are periodically reviewed. For information stored on computer systems, Computer Forensic Services, Inc. has taken strong internal measures to ensure the security of this data. To ensure security, we use a defense-in-depth approach to security and continually monitor the environment for inappropriate activity. Computer Forensic Services, Inc. utilizes multiple layers of firewalling, including multiple types and architectures of firewalls, in addition to three distinct types of intrusion detection systems and strong hardware encryption token authentication for remote access. All Computer Forensic Services, Inc. servers are tightly controlled and internally audited for restricted use and to ensure the fastest deployment of the latest security patches.
